Below you’ll discover quick answers to your questions regarding the policies and procedures upheld by Pawleys Pier Village Vacation Rentals. In developing these policies, we’ve considered the needs and comfort of all guests with hopes of making each stay in our rental properties a positive experience for everyone. We strive to provide the best in customer service and the vacation experience, and these policies help to ensure that you will enjoy every minute of your stay in beautiful Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Reservation / Check-in Policies:

Check-in is after 4:00 p.m.
Check-out is before 11:00 a.m.
All guests must be 21 years or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
We reserve the right to require a minimum number of nights stay in any unit at any time of the year.
Discounts are applied when reservations are made. No additional discounts apply.
Rates are subject to change.
Reservations are not final until property acceptance via email.

An advance deposit equal to the first night’s stay plus taxes and fees will be charged to your credit card upon booking for all vacation guests.
Your reservation’s remaining balance is due at time of check-in.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. Pawleys Pier Village is a Cashless Property. Our front desk does NOT accept cash payments of any kind. Change is also not available from the front desk. Credit and Debit Cards are accepted and check in requires these forms of payment.
Reservations must be in US Funds. Reservations are not transferable.
Any credit or debit card used to make a payment or online reservation, must be presented at check-in with a matching valid photo ID. If the credit or debit card is not present, it will be refunded the amount it was charged, and a new credit or debit card will be needed to charge the balance.
Once registered, there are NO refunds for early departure.

Deposit Policy:

A deposit equal to 50% of stay is required to receive a confirmed booking.
Your reservation’s remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Should balance not be received in full 30 days prior to check-in, reservations will be cancelled and no refund is offered. It is the guest’s responsibility to tender payment of balance 30 days prior to arrival.
A valid photo I.D., as well as the credit card used to pay your deposit, will be required at check-in.
Reservations made within a 30-day arrival window must be paid in full upon booking. There is no refund, cancellation or alteration for these reservations.

Payment Methods:

Cancellation Policy:

Once booking is confirmed and deposit is received NO Refund, Cancellations or Alterations can be made to a reservation.
GUESTS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND THEIR TRAVELING COMPANIONS. PLEASE CONTACT THE TRAVEL INSURANCE COMPANY OF YOUR CHOICE FOR COVERAGE DETAILS.

Hurricane Cancellation Policy:

If the Governor issues a mandatory evacuation, guests will receive a full refund.
If there is not an evacuation, guests can reallocate the advanced deposit to be used as the deposit toward different stay dates within 1 year of the original reservation.

The advance deposit is 100% refundable if a reservation is canceled up to 14 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
Reservations canceled within 14 days of the arrival date can reallocate the advance deposit funds toward future dates within one year of the original stay dates. Please note that changes to the reservation will be subject to availability and any room rate differences.
Guests who do not arrive on their scheduled arrival date and fail to notify the resort of a change to their stay dates, therefore acknowledge forfeiture of advance deposit funds.

Changes to reservations are considered cancellations and re-bookings.

Additional Charges:

Children under 17: Free with accompanied adult (crib or rollaway bed: $10 per night)
Resort Fee: $150.00 per reservation/booking
2 Bedroom Departure Cleaning Fee: $260.00 per reservation/booking
3 Bedroom Departure Cleaning Fee: $280.00 per reservation/booking
Destination Fee: $1.00 per day
Your Trip is Covered with a $39.95 Damage Waiver Fee (+tax). All reservations automatically include this fee. It is a non-refundable charge that covers up to $1,000 in reported instances of accidental or non-negligent damages. In addition, guests are not required to put down a security deposit at time of arrival.

Property Regulations:

Pawleys Pier Village is a 100% Smoke-FREE property. Absolutely NO SMOKING is allowed in guest rooms, on balconies, or common areas around the property. A $250.00 cleaning fee will apply if smoking occurs within a guest’s room.
PARKING is limited and we request only one car per unit if possible. We have optional & limited parking for trailers, recreational vehicles, boats or oversized vehicles.
Assigned parking passes must be present in all vehicles either in front window dash or hanging from rearview mirror.
The resort does NOT ALLOW PETS. Service animals must be registered, and this does not include emotional support animals.
Your Health and Safety is of utmost importance, therefore, if the “Do Not Disturb” sign remains on your door for an extended period of time and we are unable to contact you, we may knock on your door and if no answer, enter your room to determine your well-being. Please understand it is not our intention to disturb guests during their vacation, however, we reserve the right to enter rooms to check on the safety and security of our guests and property as well as to perform maintenance and repairs.

Our website and booking engine may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical errors, including but not limited to inaccuracies relating to pricing or availability applicable to your transaction. The Lachicotte Company does not assume the responsibility or liability for any such inaccuracies, errors or omissions. We reserve the right to make changes, corrections, and/or improvements to our website and booking engine, and to the products and programs described in such information, at any time without notice, including after confirmation of a transaction.
